One of the difficulties of this industry was setting a rate. It was always a "how long is a piece of string?" scenario. A video camera alone (no operator) was $500 a day.  Online editing started at $200 an hour. Crew was necessary and necessarily expensive. Such a different story today and that translates into much lower, and easier to predict, rates.

Video Shoot  (local):

 

1st hour: $50

$25 per hour thereafter (same day)

Day rate: $200 (up to 8 hours) $50/hr past 8 hrs
